A challenging one-act drama, with great humour and pathos.
When Mick is conned into looking after his 15 year-old niece for a week, the outlook seems bleak. They are both wary of spending time with a relative stranger, but they soon develop a close bond.
As they enjoy a week of thrilling new experiences, they begin to open up to each other. We learn why Mick failed to realise his youthful promise: he stayed at home to protect his mother from his abusive father.
