The original book by Phil Stong caught the American imagination because it so beautifully portrayed one of the most enjoyable aspects of our life, a big fair, and it did so through the eyes of a special family, each member of which is at a turning point. The novel was so successful it inspired several motion pictures as well as a musical comedy. We're happy to be able to report that when this stage version was completed, it was sent to Mr. Stong at once, and he then sent us a telegram which read, Splendid. Absolutely splendid!
