Rose, a widow, used to run a thriving doll hospital; now she can't remember who her children, Davy and Maggie, are and talks to people who aren't there. She believes that Duke, her dead husband, is still alive and in her apartment. Rose can't stay on her own, but she refuses to leave.

When Davy and Maggie receive calls from neighbors about the bizarre behavior of their elderly mother, they are faced with one of the most tragic issues of our day: Alzheimer's disease. What happens when children must assume responsibility for their parents?
