This play provides educational opportunities for teaching rhythm, language and rhyme. It is a timeless celebration of rhythm and language in quick-paced theatrical revue with an orbiting celebration of action, songs and games, the actors assemble to entertain -- much like commedia troupes of old.

Hey Diddle Diddle! brings to astonishing life the characters of childlike fantasy such as Humpty Dumpty, Little Miss Muffet, the Grand Old Duke of York and many others -- evoking the joyful imagination of children of all ages. A large-cast version distributes roles to include a large number of performers, even as young as elementary school-aged children. 

Premiere Production: Hey Diddle Diddle! premiered at Actor's Theatre of Louisville and toured the United States with the Everyman Players.
