ORiGiN™ Music Publishing appoints new COO
5 Oct

ORiGiN™ Music Publishing is pleased to announce the appointment of industry veteran Craig Redfearn as Chief Operating Officer.

With the addition of Craig Redfearn to the team, ORiGiN™ will expand, develop and strengthen its artist services offering; particularly in regard to master rights exploitation, licensing and artist career development. His deep level of global experience and knowledge across all aspects of the music industry will be a valuable asset to ORiGiN™'s artist roster.

Craig has over 20 years of global music industry experience across record labels, media, festivals and artist management. He was most recently at BMG in Sydney for almost seven years, he was initially tasked to help set up the company's record label operations in ANZ.

As the first person hired by BMG to solely focus on establishing and growing the label, he was integral in the signing and management of successful campaigns for artists including Angus & Julia Stone, Chet Faker, Ladyhawke, Tim Minchin, DOPE LEMON, The Living End and Daniel Johns. During Craig's tenure at BMG, the label grew to become an incredibly desirable home for artists with a powerhouse domestic roster.

Craig was a crucial member of the BMG global recordings team, overseeing and driving successful campaigns for artists such as 5 Seconds of Summer, Run The Jewels, Fatboy Slim, Curtis Waters, Mötley Crüe, A Perfect Circle, Angels & Airwaves, Spiritbox, Lady Blackbird, Motörhead, Nick Cave, Groove Armada and more.

In 2016 Craig was a key part of the PR/Publicity team at the Sydney Opera House, working on the incredibly successful VIVID Live Festival which featured artists such as New Order, Anohni, Bon Iver and Oneohtrix Point Never.

Prior to BMG and the Sydney Opera House, Craig was based in London at artist management company DEF, working closely with iconic artists Moby, Röyksopp and Mylo, overseeing world tours, artist collaborations, multiple album and single releases and publishing deals.

In London, Craig also worked at MTV in the Talent and Music team. Prior to that Craig was at Universal Music Australia for almost a decade working in the PR/Radio and Artist Relations team.

With Craig?s experience, knowledge and enthusiasm ORiGIN™ and its artist roster will benefit immensely in developing further opportunities, services and support for its wide range of artists, composers, catalogues and clients.

Craig Redfearn will be starting with ORiGiN™ later in October.
