When four suitors arrive to ask for the hands of Signor Di Lirio's three lovely daughters, the old gentleman agrees, as long as they have the approval of their mother. And that's where the problems begin -- the old man's wife died three years ago, and he has gone so mad with grief that he still believes she is alive.

However, one of the suitors is the town scoundrel, Giovio, who plays a series of kind-hearted but hilarious tricks that bring the father back to sanity and the intended couples together. Before all is done, the four men have been forced to dress up as their own mothers, and Giovio pretends to have dies and appears as his own ghost to haunt the old man's home.

REVIEWS:

"It's all just silliness, good-natured and competently executed... But once in a while, there's something more -- like Timidio's inspired reactions and Di Lirio's touching final revelation."

 The New York Times

"Commedia dell'arte cleverly meets modern sensibilities in this comedy that delightfully exemplifies its own title -- delirium."

 Theatre Is Easy

"Definitely funny, but holy cow, did it also tug some heartstrings... The dramatic moments in this play, while few, are completely earned and showcase how heartfelt Korn's script is. All may be fair in love and war, but both leave casualties."

 IN New York

"A fast-paced gem, with elegant, quasi-Shakespearean dialogue that doesn't go so far as to be confusing to the modern ear."

 NY Theatre Guide

"Heartfelt romp that lovingly captures the spirit of commedia dell'arte, staying true to its centuries-old theatrical roots while making it delightedly accessible to modern audience."

 Talin' Broadway
