Set during alive broadcast of a fictional, long-running TV game show, GAME SHOW places the theater audience in the role of the TV studio audience, in which members are picked as the contestants to play the trivia-based game and win actual prizes. In addition to watching and playing during the broadcast- where anything can and does happen - the audience also witnesses all the backstage, back-stabbing antics "behind the scenes" that go on during the commercial breaks of GAME SHOW.
Who's Who at America's Favorite and Longest-Running TV Game Show:
From coast to coast and around the world, everyone knows and loves Troy Richards, America's favorite TV game show host. But for those unfamiliar with the behind-the-scenes members of the GAME SHOW family, we also offer an exclusive peek at some of the important people that make America's favorite TV game show happen every day:
TROY RICHARDS (Your Host) is one of the best-known personalities on television today, having hosted GAME SHOW for the past 15 years. He is now happily married to Stephanie Brooks, a former flight attendant, and they have three daughters (from one of his previous marriages): Alexa, Tiffany and Tricia. Prior to becoming America's favorite TV game show host, Troy spent 10 years portraying Dr. Vance Vanderbilt on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, for which he was nominated for 6 Daytime Emmy Awards. Troy credits his GAME SHOW popularity to his dear friend and mentor, former GAME SHOW host Clay Phillips, whose mysterious and untimely demise will be featured on an upcoming episode of E! Entertainment's MYSTERIES AND SCANDALS.
TYLER SCOTT (Executive Producer) has been the Executive Producer of GAME SHOW for the past 15 years. He started in the business as personal assistant to Merv Griffen and his producing credits include WHEEL OF FORTUNE and JEOPARDY. In his spare time, Tyler directs community theatre productions, most recently newly-conceived productions of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and THE MUSIC MAN, both blessed to have his wife Connie Scott as the leading lady. Tyler resides in Beverly Hills with the multi-talented Mrs. Scott and their two beautiful children.
CLIFF ANDREWS (Director) is pleased to have recently joined GAME SHOW after supervising the original pilot episode of WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? for ABC. Cliff's directing credits include LOVE CONNECTION and FAMILY FEUD and is currently pitching the networks on a new movie of the week, based on the true story of an anorexic twin looking for her Olympic-gymnast sex changed, sister/brother.
ELLEN RYAN (Line Producer) started her career as an actress on Broadway in the chorus of the legendary musical MARILYN: AN AMERICAN FABLE. Upon relocating to Hollywood after the close of the show, Ellen landed a job as second assistant producer on the hit show TJ HOOKER. Quickly rising the network corporate ladder, Ellen's television producing credits include: DAYS OF OUR LIVES (where she first worked with Troy Richards), MELROSE PLACE, SUNSET BEACH and PASSIONS. Her shows have collectively been nominated for a total of 16 Emmy awards, but no wins - yet.
STEVE FOX (Assistant Producer and Warm-up Man) has entertained audiences from coast to coast in all of the nation's top comedy clubs. He has been warming-up audience of GAME SHOW for the past four seasons. Steve would like to ask his friends David Letterman and Jay Leno to stop stealing his material!
GERRY SMITH (Camera #1) enjoys sports and cooking and is a TV sitcom trivia expert. He dedicates his work on GAME SHOW to the legendary Ann B. Davis and all things Brady. Ladies, he is single.
JOE MAGUIRE (Camera #2) has been a proud member of IATSE for 25 years. One of the original cameramen on THE NEWLYWED GAME, he has worked on over 150 TV shows, films and documentaries. In his spare time, Joe can be found at Off-Track betting. Joe lives in Hoboken, NJ with his two dogs (and his wife).
JOHNNY WINDERMAN (Production Assistant) has always dreamed of working on a TV game show. He's spent his life hanging around network sound stages, and most recently interned on MTV's THE REAL WORLD - New Orleans. Johnny has been with GAME SHOW for two seasons and dreams of one day seeing his name in lights. He studies acting online at The Chuck Barris Institute.
