Based on a real school incident - written from the viewpoint of the gargoyles perched in the architecture of a local church - the story of a high school drama group forbidden from performing an innocuous Halloween comedy because of superstitious beliefs and the resulting outpouring of community love which conquers fears.

Premiere Production: Gargoyles was originally produced by the Asherville High School Drama Department in Asherville, North Carolina in April, 1997 and was directed by Chris Matthews.
