This two act play tackles the subject of female teachers who have sex with their underage (male) students. Special attention is paid to the double standard regarding this issue in our society.

As the play begins, the affair between Kathy, a 31 year old teacher and Sal, one of her 13 years old students, has been discovered. Kathy's older, successful and high-powered, commitment phobic sister Elizabeth, steps forward to take charge and help. She quickly enlists the aid of one of her suitors, a divorced male attorney, Edward. Elizabeth attempts to solve Kathy's problems while also trying to navigate her own life, and curb her religiously fanatic mothers destructive behavior. Along the way, deep family issues are uncovered, the result being an involving and insightful drama that provides food for thought about serious subjects.

Premiere Production: Mustang Sally was first presented on October 13, 2007 at The Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, California and headlined for 6 weeks. It was directed by Arturo Castillo.
  • Casting: 2M, 3F
  • Casting Attributes: Strong Role for Leading Woman (Star Vehicle)

  • KATHY - pleasant looking, gentle 31 year old never been married teacher. Quiet and introverted, she has always lacked self confidence and social skills.
  • ELIZABETH - Kathy's very attractive and sexy 35 year old single sister. A self made successful businesswoman, now very sophisticated.
  • EDWARD - a divorced 45 year old conservative lawyer. Definitely more comfortable negotiating in the courtroom than in his personal life.
  • MARILYN - Elizabeth and Kathy's 65 year old quirky, eccentric long divorced mother. A strong willed, religious zealot who dresses inappropriately youthful and garish.
  • TONY - a hip and friendly 25 year old man who teaches art at Kathy's school. Cute, artistic, offbeat.
