Uncle Victor is a historical comedy inspired by the classic Russian play, Uncle Vanya, by Anton Chekhov.

O'Neill places her characters on Waverly Plantation in 1899 Louisiana. Will Uncle Victor be able to save the sugar plantation now that the professor and his gorgeous young wife have returned with their excessive epicurean needs? Uncle Victor must choose between passion for the new wife and preservation of the family estate. He and the doctor try to salvage the best for Louisiana, but fall in love with the new wife, a diva who has none of their interests.

Selective staging of a parlor in an old plantation house can be done with simple or draped furniture pieces.
