Young men are dying and everyone assumes they're just casualties of London's chemsex scene. Everyone, that is, but Anthony, who is determined to investigate.

Christopher Adams' play Tumulus is a chilling, queer play-noir set amongst the shadowy hills of Hampstead Heath.

It was first performed as part of the 2018 VAULT Festival, London, where it was the winner of a VAULT Origins Award for outstanding new work from the theatre programme.

Available in the collection Plays from VAULT 3.

REVIEWS:

"Christopher Adams's script is taut and propulsive with plenty of social satire."

 The Guardian

"Well-crafted and engaging… the tone and atmosphere of noir as a storytelling technique are a poignant tool to explore the moral ambiguity, fatalism, and pathos of the subject matter."

 LGBTQ Arts Review

"A neat piece of writing [that] simultaneously supplies a nagging study of addiction and a compelling cross-section of the capital's active gay community… Christopher Adams' fast-moving, free-flowing, three-man play showboats a gritty authenticity."
