Efforts by Rosemary to get to the bottom of Peter's strange behavior become thwarted by two members of the "Memory Removal Company" who, representing Peter's growing dementia, arrive and proceed to figuratively and literally take apart his home and life until there is nothing left. It is at this final moment that Peter realizes that he will have to fight hardest for the person who means the most to him.
