The play was originally produced by the Cab Theatre Company Inc. as part of their one-act series, "Women at the Wheel" at Our Studios in New York City on January 15, 1987 under the direction of Joann Carollo.
The play was subsequently produced by the Cab Theatre Company Inc. as part of the Double Image Theatre's 12th Annual Short Play Festival at the Harold Clurman Theatre in New York on May 8 and 10, 1987.

Since it is the day after Valentine's Day, they are half price. He chooses a card and presents it to the abashed girl his buddies have bet him fifty dollars that he can't walk right in and get Misty, who may or may not be the prettiest girl in Lafayette County, to kiss him.
