A strange and haunting monologue from the acclaimed Irish playwright.
Welcome to the mind of Thomas Magill, an unstable man in his mid thirties, whose confused mission is to bring God to his fellow townsfolk of Inishfree.
misterman was first performed by Enda Walsh in a Corcadorca Theatre Company production at the Granary Theatre in Cork in April 1999, directed by Pat Kiernan.
A later version, was produced by Landmark Productions and Galway Arts Festival, and performed at the Black Box Theatre, Galway, as part of the Galway Arts Festival, in July 2011.
REVIEWS:
"A comic and chilling character... This is a man whom everyone dismisses as harmless but who stock-piles his resentment like hand grenades... Beautifully realised."
The Guardian
"A work that enjoys delving into the nastier zones of human behaviour with a wild and mischievous exuberance."
