Agatha Raisin, an irascible but endearing middle-aged dynamo, has impulsively sold her London public relations business and "retired" to the serenity of the Cotswolds, only to discover that it's difficult for an "incomer" to be accepted there. Determined to make friends quickly, she enters the village quiche-making competition.
